This three-day workshop will gather statisticians, mathematicians and social scientists around the theme of Bayesian statistical methods for the social sciences. This area has been growing rapidly in the past decade, and the speakers will include some of the leading researchers in the area from around the world.
The first day will consist of tutorial introductions to Bayesian inference, demography and social network analysis. Days 2 and 3 will consist of talks and posters on cutting-edge research in the area. The workshop is sponsored by the Fondation des Sciences Mathématiques de Paris (FSMP), and the tutorial sessions are organised jointly with the French Institute of Mathematics for Planet Earth.
It will be held in person (no online streaming) at the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris from October 19 to 21, 2022.
Registration
Registration is free but mandatory. It is possible to register for all three days (Wed-Fri June 19-21), only for the day of tutorial introductions (Wed 19), or only the two days of research talks (Thu-Fri 20-21). This choice should be indicated when filling in the registration form. Registration closes on September 23rd.
Poster session
A poster session will be held during the last 2 days of the workshop. The application form to submit a poster is distinct from the registration form and can be found in the left column. Applications are open until September 23rd, 2022. Up to 10 posters will be selected to be presented during the conference.
